Newly appointed for his leadership abilities. Sets high expectations for his officers, guiding them yet allowing them a certain amount of leeway to complete their tasks. Willing to risk what's right over political expediency. His wife Patty, his daughter Sophie and his father-in-law David are central to his values.

DAVID TAIT

Widower. Clueless that women find him attractive. Good sense of humor, thoughtful, good listener. Passionate about golf. Good cook. Has a slight tendency to be accident prone.

Officer Claudia Riley​ 

Police Sergeant hopes to break through the male dominated police force by being efficient, capable and competent.  She is an intuitive, intelligent mother of two small children. Married to Bill Riley, a vice detective in a nearby metropolitan area. 

NINA WAITE

Retired science teacher who has an eye for detail and sleuthing. Loves David and his family. Supports him but also has a independent streak. 
LIEUTENANT PHIL SCOTT
Hard working, assistant to Mike, Phil is learning how to navigate the politics of police work.

Solid police officer. Reliable, dependable. The perfect partner for Claudia.  Relies on Claudia to speak for him in meetings but steps up to action in the field.

Fading high school football star. Successful with girls. Working  on growing up. Learning teenage locker room talk is inappropriate. Wants to please and wants to be a good policeman.
Alex must overcome youth-filled insecurities and tendency  for making huge mistakes in order to live up to his potential as a police officer. A vote of confidence might be just the thing...
